There's
been a lot of back and forth between those looking for a cell phone
number (i.e., searching for the phone number/ address of someone who's
been calling your cell phone) are, indeed, free -- or whether the
2-3 dozen vendors out there are simply luring us in so they can charge
us exhorbitant fees once they've determined what kind of information
we want!! I've contributed to this discussion elsewhere, but invite
others to join me in providing here a set of reasonably certain conclusions
for those who are looking for a cell phone number:
First, it seems clear that there are such things as reverse cell phone
lookups. The ones I've seen are not entirely free, they typically
come at a small fee. But, if you need to know who's been making rude
phone calls in the middle of the night, or if you want to find out
if your mate's been cheating on you, or if you're in the middle of
some other sort of "relationship drama" that happens to involve your
cell phone -- the $30 or so it takes to run a reverse cell phone lookup
may be well worth it. Net Detective wants $29, but for that,
you get a vastly improved search capacity -- you can conduct reverse
lookups to access phone records for more than 70% of all cellular
numbers and over 95% of all unlisted phone numbers in the U.S.A. You
can then run unlimited background checks on spouses/ potential dates/
tenants/ employees, get hold of someone's criminal background records,
any court records/ legal judgments, search for convicted sex offenders
(ugh!) in your neighborhood and a lot more.
Second, let's be realistic, there are vendors who would lure us to
their sites only to hit us up later on for additional fees for this
and that. I'd rather not name names (and hope you won't either), but
I can confidently distinguish a couple more who don't play games:
Court Records - The Records Search authority. Quickly and efficiently
find any records (criminal records, aliases, educational personality
traits, consumer preferences, romantic preferences, birth dates, names
of relatives, current address, police reports, property ownership,
employment status, tax Liens, etc.
Reverse Mobile - A recognized and trusted online records information
provider, lets you utilize a network of multiple data sources to find
the exact records you are looking for.
These vendors are reputable and with them, you get what you pay for.
When it comes to my security and the security of my family, I figure
it's probably best to sidestep the freebies and shell out a few bucks
to get the information that's going to keep us safe and sound! My
family's worth it.
In this small space, I can't presume to have covered the entire market,
but that's where your comments can add to this discussion. Certainly,
a lot of us have had situations requiring some of these services and
certainly none of us want to give up something for nothing. But, what
I've tried to do here is outline a couple/ few firms that are out
there doing the right thing, providing customers with the information
they really need, and these don't deserve to be confused with those
that are out there just to make a quick buck.
So, thanks for reading, and if you can identify a few others, I hope
you'll join me in identifying more opportunities for (free) reverse
cell phone lookups.
